Feel Nature!

Start Hecate By Luca Festa

Mangia moltissimo

A Beautiful Planet for a Better Life

HECATE exists for a mission of protecting nature and preserving life. It’s about re-connecting our-self with the planet, a place that brings people a simple pleasure in life. Hecate is committed to this activity because it believes that preserving nature leads to a more beautiful planet, which in turn, allows for a better life.

Respecting and enjoying nature brings a smile to our face. For that simple reason, we want to ensure that future generations have the same opportunity like us. For that Hecate is honored to support environmental activities which are dedicated to make our planet a better place for life. 20% of Hecate’s profit will go to support this activity: 10% for an environmental restoration project and 10% for a future low-power-energy project.

You also have opportunity to support this project by collecting our jewelries, pendants, and other creations that you can find at www.hecate.it. Come an join us! Let’s create a better life together!

Do you love Avatar? Then obviously you love nature!

Let’s talk about Avatar. This powerful movie delivers a crucial message for our time: That all living beings are connected and that those who seek to exploit nature rather than respect it will only destroy themselves.

Much of the press has focused the article of Avatar on the special effects, the motion capture and the 3-D presentation. These are modern filmmaking marvels, for certain, but the film succeeds for a far more important reason: Its story –and its message.

In this film, Cameron (director) has delivered an important message: The love of nature, the interconnectedness between all living things, and the victory of good over evil mind. When it comes to planet Earth, after all, humans are the imperialists. We have destroyed much of the natural habitat on our planet; we’ve poisoned the rivers and oceans; we’ve polluted the sky and burned up much of the planet’s natural resources. In our quest for more energy, more consumption and more profit, we are stupidly destroying our own planet… and destroying our own future in the process.

Not many who has viewed Avatar would understand all this, of course. To the younger crowd, Avatar was simply a cool action-adventure film with a compelling love story that makes it a great date flick. But to those who’ve been around on this planet a little longer, the story of Avatar was a far important story of good versus evil, war versus peace, destruction versus healing and isolationism versus interconnectedness. This depth of sensitivity to life is rare to find in any film these days.

We are, in effect, both the invaders and the natives on this planet, and through our misguided collective consumption, we are destroying our own land, our own trees and our own home. And because life is so delicately interconnected, in destroying our own planet, we are only destroying ourselves.

So, if you said you love Avatar movie and you’re a big fan of it, why don’t you stand up and say it laud:  I ALSO LOVE MOTHER NATURE, BABY!!! AND I PROUD OF IT!!

If the sun cries

Melancholy clouds replace The Sun arose through the sunset,

Sun glancing under crying drops,

Drops bearing the canvas where the most beautiful rainbow lies down.

Black Rose

I will be here, but you will not
Love took flight and left last night

No red roses.. this time

I am a black rose with a bleeding heart

I am dying now, my tears stained apart.

How to save the earth

Let’s go green and save the earth – sounds like a tall order, doesn’t it? If you think about it though, governments and citizens alike are all working together towards the goal of becoming greener.

There are many ways that we can work on our initiative “Let’s go green and save the earth”. Here are a few you can do personally, as a citizen of planet Earth:

• Upgrade the windows in your home to more efficient ones that help to retain the heat you create with electricity;
• Switch to Energy Star certified appliances if your appliances are older – you may qualify for a rebate;
• Hang your clothes to dry in the summertime instead of using a clothes dryer;
• Have shorter showers and use a timer on your hot water tank so that the water is only heated during certain periods during the day when you need it;
• Change over all of your light bulbs to more energy efficient ones;
• If your car is an older one, consider upgrading to a more fuel efficient car, it will save you a lot of money in the long run;
• Consider switching your electrical consumption to more green sources, such as solar panels and wind turbines, if possible. You can slowly install one or two solar panels as you can afford to, and if you end up getting yourself off of the electrical grid, you will have no more electrical bills to pay. Aside from that, many local governments offer incentives to people to use greener sources of energy.

As we all adopt the mind set “let’s go green and save the earth”, we can all do our part, each day, to conserve the resources on our planet. Working towards using more solar powered products and producing less waste are two of the biggest ways that we can save our planet for future generations.

Our universe

A human being is part of the whole, called by us “Universe,” a part limited in time and space.  He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest – a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.  This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us.  Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole (of) nature in its beauty.

~Albert Einstein, 1950

It’s raining

In that summer heat had dried our heart, and the eye haunted in vain seeking for the dancing leaves

The walls were no longer warm but burnt us in a flame and in a blind night we ran away into the brightest star, awakening

Jingling on the roof and tender fresh touch, a sudden thrill…

Where’s my sun? It’s raining!!!
